(पुरुष): Person ==> पर्सन के अध्ययन के बिना Pronoun का अध्ययन पूरा नहीं होता। Person का अर्थ व्यक्ति से होता है। इसका सम्बन्ध तीन तरह के व्यक्तियों से होता है।
1. बोलने वाला (Speaker)
2. सुननेवाला (Listener)
3. जिसके बारे में कुछ कहा या सुना जाये।
उपर्युक्त विवरण के आधार पर Person को तीन वर्गों में बाँटा गया है।
1. First Person (प्रथम या उत्तम पुरुष)
2. Second Person (मध्यम पुरुष)
3. Third Person (अन्य पुरुष)
Definition (परिभाषा) :-
1.First Person (प्रथम या उत्तम पुरुष):==> बोलने वाले को First Person कहते हैं। जैसे:- I, we, me, my, us, our etc.
Examples of first person:
I play football.
We go to Patna.
Give it to me.
This is my pen.
These are our houses.
2.Second Person (मध्यम पुरुष):==> सुनने वाले को Second Person कहते हैं। जैसे:- You, your

He is your father.
They know you.
3.Third Person (अन्य पुरुष):==> जिस के बारे में बात की जाये उसे Third Person कहते हैं। जैसे:- He, they, his, him, her, them, their आदि
